High percentage of bees died – pollination of flowers with the bumblebee

16.05.10 (Biologische Schädlingsbekämpfung, Hummeln zur Blütenbestäubung, bumble bees for pollination, english language poison free)

A lot of bees died because of the unusual hard winter. This very high percentage of dieing bees caused a lot of problems to those who are depending on the bees to pollinate fruits or vegetables.

(source: dpa) for a lot of beemasters this spring is beginning with a lot of losses. "Today I had to put away my death bee populations" writes one bee-friend from the south of germany in the internet, at the end of his article there is standing "with sad greetings".

Nearly the same happens to almost every beekeeper in germany these days. Every fifth bee didn't make it through this hard winter. This is a result of a survey of a german center for beekeeping and bees in Mayen Rhineland Palatinate. 1,500 apiculturists where asked. This meens that 100% more of the bees died this winter then usual. " We even expected that  even more bees had died" said the boss of the center Christoph Otten.

Already in the late summer of last year 2009 a lot of beekeepers were worried. A lot of there bees were noticeable week. " At that point a lot of bees where infected by the varroa mite which is causing  a lot of problems to the bees in europe for years now." said the manager  of bee lore Peter Rosenkranz at the university  of Hohenheim. This mites are liveng as parasites in the beeyard, are weekening the insects and are delivering deseases.Without a therapy a lot of bee populations are sure to die.

"The bees had also to fight with the climate. 2009 was a bad year for the bee with a late spring, a wet and cold summer and a very long winter." so Rosenkranz. Very bad were the conditions in the south of germany like for example in the black forest. That's the reason why Rosenkranz thinks that up to 30% of the bees might have died in Baden-Wuerttemberg. This losses don't only harm the beekeepers but also the farming very much. Because after pig and cow it is the bee that is the tird most important animal for profuction in germany. 80% of th efarming is depending on the bee to pollinate the economic plants. The german depertment for agriculture estimates the economic benefite of the bees around 2 billion euros a year.

As an alternative for greenhouse cultures especially for tomatoes, pepper and so on the HMA is offering earth bumble bees bombus terestri.   It is new to have these insects on field grown fruitfarms. The bumble-bees are send and transported to the gardener in robust cardboard boxes. Delivered will be a bumble bee yard with 80 bumble bees together with her queen. This population of bumble bees would cover a field of 2,000 square meter.  These bumble bees are pieceful. They should be given food if they have to work in fields like for example tomatoes because they won't find food (nectar) there for living.

Fighting Marten without poison and animalfriendly (modern marten catch)

21.04.10 (english language poison free)

Everybody is able to fight a marten (martes foina).

Fighting  and chasing away marten I do  professionally for around 30 years. Often they damage cables and tubes from cars by biting. Or they distroy isolations of roofs or damaging house and roof material.

My customers who are calling for me because of marten attack, they are often very angry because of marten doing expensive damages and producing a lot of noise on the roof and attic. Often they could't even sleelp because of a marten doing so much noise.

Often in the beginnig my customers try to get rid of the marten by building up too tiny catches or lay out hair from other animal and so on. But the marten are not only very loud, they are also very smart!

One thing is definite: the damaging on cars like bitten tubes and cables happen because the car was parked in the martens territory.

The damage at roofs and attics happen because the marten loves to build his nest between the walls of the ceiling.Often the whole attic is finally seen as the home of the marten. Often it stinks because of dung, urine and kadavers. The marder prefers empty rooms or spaces that are not used for a long time. Often martens are olaso found on attics of schools and kindergarden.

Marten are able to climb excellently, they can move over and on roofs very easily and are brave enough to jump long distances from for example a tree to the roof. They are able to lift a roof tile or they get inside the house through an open window. In one pert of the attic, often between the ceiling walls, the is the "toilet" of the marten, in another area there is the "kitche" where sometimes kadavers of small animals can be found. Near this area there is the sleepingroom and the room for it"s kids.

The marten can become as tall as an adult cat. It is very flexible, his body is long and he can pass every way that is as big as his head.

You shouldn"t kill this nice and shy animals although they are not protected by the law. But in some areas they have times when it is forbidden to hunt them. If you catch them alive and bring them far enough from you home you will never see this marten again.

If you call a pest-control company you have to know that they will have to show up several times, supposably they won't catch the marten at their first visit. It is not rarely that a successful catch might take weeks, sometimes even months. You have to have patience. If you think you only have to install a martencatch and it will be trapped easily you are mistaken. Marten are tricky predators. Joung marten are sometimes not yet that careful and it could happen that they are caught more easy. It happend to me that I caught a marten within two days. This is pure luck and most of the times it takes much longer.Somebody who wants to catch a grow up marten needs a lot of patience and the right strategy.

Marten always use the same ways, these ways have to be found at first. With the right catching instruction and patience everybody could do the catching. Also very useful are martenbelts which make it more difficult for the marten to climb into the attic. These Martenbelt could be useful at rain drains, trees or other possibilities where marten coult climb up. As a first step against the marten is to clean up the attic, so that there is no more space for it to build its nest (if possible). Wholes have to be shut. If you do the cleaning before or after the marten attack is up to you, but the smell of the marten has to be removed with a strong cleaner. While warmer seasons you can often find a large amount of flys in the attic. This is a result of the cadavers which lay around and were left by marten. Often you will also find the longish dung of the marten. If it is already dry you will know that he is here already for a longer time. If it is still wet and smooth he came not a long time ago. The dung of an adult marten is as thick as a finger (like from a cat). Cleaning and desinfection is very important because of infection and bacteria. Right now there is not a lot of talking about the bird flu, but still it is existing. Marten do it birds and their eggs, so thats one risk more in addition to other deseases. After cleaning you can start fighting tha marten. Old advices like leavin doghair or let a radio make noise all the time often don't help to get rid of the marten.Better coult be a machine making ultrasonic sounds, but sometimes this doesn't help also.

Hummeln zur Pflanzenbestäubung massives Bienensterben weltweit

11.04.10 (Hummeln zur Blütenbestäubung)

Hummeln zur Pflanzenbestäubung Alternative für Gärtner Kleingärtne und Landwirtschaftliche Betriebe

Massives Bienensterben durch harten Winter

Freitag, 2. April 2010

Weiterlesen »

organic wood preservative and timber preserver

04.04.10 (english language poison free)

Fighting the house longhorn beetle – wood worm- timberworm-dry rot – wood/ timber fungi in the roof structure with

Hm1 and Woodbliss organically

The versatility of HM1 and Woodbliss in protecting wood and timber against parasites and fungi and other applications.

Not only that Hm1 and Woodbliss is a organic and poisonfree way to preserve wood and timber against the house longhorn beetle, fungi, dry rot and woodworm but HM1 is  also used for timber betterment, wood processing and restoration.

HM! and Woodbliss are both absoltly poisonfree. They are organic wood/ timber preserver against wood vermin. They are both functioning preventative and fighting when the attack of the fungi or insect has already happened.

What is the difference between HM1 and Woodbliss?

Answer: Both are organic ways to preserve wood or to fight fungi or timber damaging insects but HM1 is famous for better the wood by conserving the structure of the wood, cement it or to be used in wood restauration.

The highlight of HM1 is the universalism and extensiveness of practicality and advantages in Wood protecting, improvement, longer product life and also in restoration.

We underline that the effect of HM1 doesn`t get less when time goes by. Contrariwise the effect of HM1 get`s even more stronger by and by!

Hm1 shows (makes visible) an eventual attack of fungi by turning the area into blue colour. This area could be treated by grinding off the colour and fungi and again putting on a layer of Hm1. This puts away the fungi and protects trhe wood in future.

We point out that with thjis treatment you will also have an enormous saving of material and time because for the usage of Hm1 you DON'T have to do any pretreatment of the wood nor a fixing.

In addition you can pigment Hm1 with any kind , preferably nontoxic pigments, and get the colour you want for your timber.

In case of deseased wood or timber it is important that you will treat ALL deseased areas with Hm1.

Now to further benefits of Woodbliss: You fight also termites and even protect the wood from fire by making it less burning and also dwarf smoke emission.

It is officially proved (Missisippi Forest Laboratorys USA :EMP A,CH, Underwriters Labatorys USA; EMPA A,CH).

Hm1 is working by cristallization, as far as its depth of penetration the wood  will be made irrecognizable to parasites. You ca do without any poison.ouoooo You  YYYY…. You can do totally without any poison., the insects. ….. toeee irre irrecognizable to

Hm1 is especially appropriate for restructuring old buildings and conserving monuments.

Woodbliss got international certificates and was awarded with "very good" from the german Oeko-Test and the do-it-yourself- magazine "Selbst".

The active principle of Woodbliss is the same than the one of HM1.

Woodbliss is plugging the ways of the insects, it also is plugging gaps (by cristallisation), so that the insects can't  go into the wood anymore. In this way it also protects the wood and timber against fungi. Compared to HM1 woodbliss does contain more solid material and thats why it weighs more than Hm1. Thats why Woodbliss doesnt only covers the survace of gaps and ways, it fills them completely, so that there is no space left anymore for atacking the wood.

If the parasites get in touch with Woodbliss they are not able to move anymore and die.

Wood that got attacked before often loses stability because of the ways that insects have bitten into the wood and the fungi alsob causes instability. By filling out the bitten ways of the parasites and the small gasps the wood and timber gets back the stability! and gets back the lost bulk or mass. By using Woodbliss you can prevent an expensive restauration or even demolition.

Organic characters of Woodbliss:

It doesn't contain any poisonous ingredients which is also proven by (some are international accepted) testers like Tuev, Oeko-Test, TU Hamburg-Haburg, Lafu-GmbH.

Woodbliss is not  binded for identification appropriate to the dangerous- substance-edict.

Woodbliss doesn't cause any vapor or steam except water exhalation. There are no emissions at all so there is no danger for humans, animals or food and can be used next to them without any hesitation.

Woodbliss has a life without limit and this is valid irrespectrive to any temperature.

Fighting house dust mite (casa dust mite) poison free

29.03.10 (english language poison free)

The grey-white to almost transparent house dust mite is a very big problem for a lot of people suffering from allergies.

It becomes 2-4mm "big" and prefers almost the same temperatures than humans.

At a temperature between 20-25 °Celsius and an air humidity from around 70-80 percent the female house dust mite puts 200 to 300 eggs.

Some illnesses and deseases, caused by the house dust mite, can be quite life-threatening: allergies, hard difficulties in breathing, asthma, eczema, skin rash, sneezing seizures .

The Neemtree descendes originally from Myanmar (Burma, India).

Hundrets of years Neem is there already known as agricultural crop and useful plant.

The wood, the leaves and the seeds have a  lot of active ingredients which are nowadays used for medical and organic plant protection and which are very helpful in keeping away parasites.

Unlike lots of other instruments to fight parasites (like Pyrethroides) Neem doesn`t contain neurotoxic substances. Neem takes effect on the hormon system of the insect or parasite but is completely harmless to humans, because the hormons of insects work completely different than the ones of humans.

Neem doesn`t take effect on human organisms.

That`s why neem is for humans and animals absolutely poison-free, harmless, unoffensive and organic.

Neem can be excellently used for fighting mites, moths, lice, bugs and beetles.

The neemoil is coming fair traded, protects carpets, blancets, jackets, textiles … from moths and house dust mites.

Usually it is hard to fight parasites and their nymphs on  large carpets and  textiles with physical or organic appliances.

But Neem-oil is a brilliant way to fight the parasites on even large carpets and textiles and protects the textiles over half a year against a new insect-attack.

Fair-traded neem-oil against house dust mite or moths you can get here in the Internet-Shop.

Please just click at the sentence ahead.

Fighting head lice poison-free

28.03.10 (english language poison free)

Headlice – a problem that often shows up in kindergarden or school.

It is disgusting and you start to ich just by thinking about it.

Lately they occur ever more frequently. The latin name for this parasite is pediculi capitis.

The haed louse is a wingless and blood augend insect which is specialized as a human parasite. Once the louse struck somebody it increases fast and is hard to  fight.

Several times daily, every three hours, they sting and suck blood which is their food.

While sucking they put their own saliva into the humans blood. That`s why it is starting to ich – this causes ichin wounds and ekzeme. In some areas of the world headlice can infect people with illnesses also.

Headlice become 2 to 3 mm big and you can see them, in some areas they are light brown (for example europe), in some areas the are black (for example in asia).

Head lice move very speedily, that`s why sometimes you never see one of this unsolicited guests.

But the eggs of these unpleasant insects you are able to recognize: the female insects puts DAILY 2-6 eggs while being in its sex-able stadium (20 to 40 days).

With a waterresitant and quick hardening cement they fix their eggs at the beginning of the hair. With a simple hair washing treatment you can`t remove these eggs.

The larvae slip after 7-8 days, the empty nits ( empty egg shells) grow with the hear and stay sticking on the hear. When they are away from the heads skin a few cm they are already empty for a long time. The whole cycle or period of the following generation is 18-21 days, the warmer it is the faster they attain full growth.

Headlice don`t appear because of lucking hygiene or cleanliness, that is just a prejudice.

They do appear and trouble in every social class and at every age, but mostly they appear at young age (kindergarden and school).

Head lice can`t jump from one head to another and they can`t fly. Pets are also no carrier of human headlice.

But the louse uses every chance to come from one person to another when head and head contact each other, even if it`s only a short time. But they can also change  to another person when the head gets in touch with a strucked blanket, pillow, comb, teddybear or cap.

Often the "population" on once head is less then 10 insects. Thats why they are often unvisibel. Only people who are used to it are able to get the animals with a lice comb.

Lice often appear near the neck, the ears and the temples.

The lice comb is the best way to proof headlice. If you are unsure the doctor is able to see if there are parasites on the head.

British medical professionals now have examined the meaning of the use of a lice comb for fighting the parasites:

The right use of a headlice comb

To get completely rid off the lice-eggs you have to comb the hair carefully.

You take a bund of hair and comb the carefully from the beginning of the hair until the hair-ending. To make the combing more easy the hair should be washed bevore. For that you use the special poison-free lice-shampoo with active substances with for example niembaum removes lime, sheds etc. from the survace of the hear. This makes it easier to remove the stucking lice-eggs from the hair.

The female louse puts up to 10 eggs daily, thats the reason why you should do the combing procedure at least once a day until the head is completely lice-free.

Although this method takes long,  it brings very good lice-fighting-results.

This method should always been done together with a special licecomb, because the lice-eggs will be removed by remaining between the closely tines of the lice-egg-comb (nits-comb).

The poison-free Special Headlice Shampoo you can get in the Internet-Shop.
